Parts and Service Representative

The objective of the parts and service representative is to provide quality and timely customer service to clients via phone, email, fax, or in person. This position is tasked with taking customer orders and payments, preparing invoices, pulling parts orders for shipment and job transfers. The parts and service representative also supports the warehouse manager in writing up service call tickets, inventory tracking, and keeping the warehouse orderly.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take customer orders by phone, email or other means with high attention to cordial and efficient customer service
  • Create estimates for large in-house parts sales and small jobs
  • Take customer service call messages and give to Customer Service Manager for scheduling
  • Receive in and unpack deliveries, check stock parts into inventory and stock shelves
  • Fill customer orders for timely pick-up or delivery
  • Process and mail parts invoices
  • Prepare orders for carrier pick-up, including packing, creating crates and skids, sealing and labeling, and contacting carrier (as needed) to pick up orders
  • Wait on walk-in customers and process payments (cash, check and credit card machine) with high attention to cordial and efficient customer service
  • Review sales orders weekly and follow up with back orders
  • Pull needed parts for poultry and millwright employees for their respective jobs and assist loading and unloading of their trucks
  • Restock and receive into inventory parts returning from jobs
  • Utilize forklift for purposes of moving and stocking parts, loading and unloading trucks
  • Coordinate direct shipments to job locations
  • Assist supervisor with resolution of shipping and delivery problems with a high sense of urgency
  • Return warranty parts to vendors in a timely manner as appropriate
  • Assist supervisor in correcting any inventory discrepancies
  • Assist in annual physical inventory counting processes
  • Assist regularly with maintenance and clean-up of job work area for safety and job efficiency. Keep warehouse neat and tidy. Empty the trash twice weekly and take to dumpster.
  • Maintain forklift, log evaluations daily and report to mechanic for repairs when needed.
  • Assist with snow removal, parking lot and sidewalk maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in any duties requested by Customer Service Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must maintain Forklift Certification
  • Must be proficient in using Windows-based computer programs

Crane Operator

Full time position for a crane operator/millwright. Will operate truck mounted 17, 21, and 23-ton hydraulic cranes w/ stand-up controls & telescoping boom. NCCCO cert. and CDL A required. Must be able to pass drug & background checks. Height work & some travel to Mid-Atlantic states required. Mechanical assembly & welding skills a plus. Prefer experience w/ rigging and equipment installation. Competitive wage & benefits.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive appropriate crane to assigned job site and operate crane in cooperation with the assigned foreman
  • Set up crane using site evaluation skills and OSHA guidelines
  • Operate crane to lift, move, and position loads, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials, using hoisting attachments, such as hook, sling, electromagnet, or bucket; observes load hookup and determines safety of load
  • Rig equipment, machinery, and material using slings and other riggings gear as required
  • Read and understand load chart (good math skills)
  • Ensure that the safety of all persons in the area is the number one priority at all times, focusing on anticipating and preventing potential hazards, accidents, and injuries
  • Control crane movement in response to hand signals or radio commands
  • Resolve unsafe site conditions with project supervisors, including contractors and sub-contractors; report lack of cooperation to HEC authorities
  • Complete pre-trip inspection of crane, completing the daily checklist; notify truck shop manager of defects or malfunctions
  • Ensure that fluids are at appropriate levels for efficient, safe operation
  • When not operating crane, actively participate in completion of project at job site, installing grain handling and feed mill equipment as directed by supervisor
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks, as directed by supervisor; learn new skills as needed for such tasks
  • Assist regularly with maintenance and clean-up of job site work area for safety and job efficiency
  • Assist with or do crane maintenance
  • Assist with annual inventory process as directed by supervisor

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Be able to lift up to 70 lbs., but lifting equipment should be used whenever possible
  • Be able to climb in/out of and around large trucks; climb ladders
  • Be able to work outdoors for long periods of time
  • Have current, valid PA driver’s license and CDL (Class A) with current physical certification
  • Have current NCCCO certification
  • Travel to out-of-town job sites and events
  • Submit to random drug and alcohol screenings as selected by third party administrator

Millwright

Full time position requiring welding experience and valid driver’s license. Fabrication and mechanical assembly skills a plus. Some travel to Mid-Atlantic states. Must work at heights and in all weather conditions. Competitive wage and benefits.

  • Install grain handling/feed mill storage, loading/mixing equipment, as directed by foremen or Millwright Production Supervisor
  • Carry out demolition and/or removal of old equipment as directed
  • Assist with other needs in the Millwright Department as directed by supervisor
  • Assist regularly with maintenance and clean-up of job work area for safety and job efficiency
  • Assist with annual inventory process as directed by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs., but lifting equipment should be used whenever possible
  • Must have welding certification
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Must be able to work outdoors for long periods of time in all temperature and weather
  • Must be able to work at heights using fall-protection devices
  • Must be able to use hand tools and power tools
  • Must be willing to travel and stay out of town
  • Must have current, valid PA driver’s license

Poultry Assembler
